Where to Stay

Zona Río, Tijuana

The ceremony is in Playas de Tijuana and the reception is in Zona Río, about twenty minutes apart. Stay in Zona Río: it is where the reception is, where all four hotels are, and the closest side of town to the border.

Four places to stay

We hope you'll stay at the Fairfield. It's on the reception's own boulevard, four minutes on foot, and we negotiated the rate. All four hotels are about a twenty minute drive to the church in Playas, so the other three are good backups if the Fairfield fills up.

Crossing the border

Use San Ysidro. From Zona Río it is 4.7 miles, and the drive itself is short; it is the queue that takes the time. Otay Mesa sits further east and buys you nothing. Going south takes minutes. Coming back north is the part worth planning.
